TRADITIONAL PLACEMENT
When your local secondary school does not provide the desired educational environment, Eduplanners can help you select an appropriate day or boarding school. We spend much of our time visiting schools so that we are able to provide a total picture of each school, from academic programs to social life.
After an initial meeting with the family to establish goals and expectations, Eduplanners thoroughly reviews transcripts, aptitude and achievement test scores, and other pertinent information. When necessary, we will refer you for further psychological or educational testing.
Once Eduplanners understands your goals and expectations, we compile a list of schools most appropriate to the needs of the student. We review your choices after your school visits, and then assist you with the application process.
THERAPEUTIC PLACEMENT
When family circumstances and special needs require consideration of alternative placement, professionals -- psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists or school counselors -- refer families to Eduplanners for therapeutic-educational options.
Because of our knowledge and working relationships with therapeutic programs, as well as our ability to relate to families, the professionals turn to Eduplanners for help with students who present as oppositionally defiant in school, are in counseling because of drug and alcohol abuse, academic underachievement, family and peer conflict, depression, low self esteem, and much more. In order to best meet each student's individual needs, Eduplanners visits and stays in touch with therapeutic programs and facilities throughout the country. We are thus able to find an intervention program suited to the needs of both the family and the student.
